ATP exam — anyone else finding the ethics and service delivery domains harder than expected?

I've been studying for the ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) exam for about 9 weeks and I feel reasonably confident on the AT devices and funding sections, but the ethics and service delivery parts are throwing me off. My practice test scores are landing around 70-73% and the passing threshold is around 70%, so I'm right at the edge. I'd like a bigger buffer before I schedule the real thing.

The ethics questions are tricky because they often come down to professional judgment calls rather than clear rule violations. Things like scope of practice, documentation standards, and what to do when a funding source denies equipment that's clearly medically necessary — those don't have obvious right answers and I keep second-guessing myself. The RESNA guidelines help but they're pretty general.

I'm planning to do 2 more weeks of focused prep before scheduling. I've been working in AT for 4 years so the device knowledge is fine — it's the professional practice domain that's costing me points. Anyone who's passed recently, how did you approach that section specifically?

The funding section has a lot of Medicare/Medicaid-specific details that are worth knowing cold. I missed 3-4 questions on coverage criteria for specific device categories that I thought I knew but clearly didn't. The HCPCS coding logic in particular tripped me up.

Nine weeks is plenty if you're already working in the field. The exam really does test practical knowledge more than textbook recall. If you've been doing AT evaluations for 4 years you're probably overthinking the ethics stuff — trust your clinical instincts.

Passed 6 months ago with a 76%. The professional practice domain was definitely harder than the technology domains for me too. What helped was framing every ethics question around client-centered practice — the answer that best supports the client's independence and goals is almost always correct.

I was at 72% on practice tests and passed the real exam with a 74%. The actual exam felt slightly more straightforward than the RESNA practice materials, at least to me. Don't over-stress if you're right at the threshold on practice.
