How did you all prepare for Academic and School Tests with limited time?

So I've been stressing about this for weeks now. I have about three weeks left before my exam date and I'm honestly not sure I'm covering the right material. I've been grinding through flashcards and some random YouTube videos but nothing feels systematic. A friend told me she used a solid Academic and School Tests Academic and School Tests Test Preparation & Study Strategies practice test resource and said it really helped her understand the format before test day.

My main issue is time management during the actual exam — I tend to overthink questions and run out of time on sections I know well. Is that a common thing? I'm aiming for somewhere in the 85th percentile range which I know is ambitious but I've been putting in about 2 hours a day most weekdays.

Would love to hear what actually worked for people. Study guide recommendations, exam tips, anything. Especially curious if anyone else felt underprepared going in but still pulled through.

Three weeks is actually enough if you're strategic about it. I was in the same boat last year — I stopped reviewing content I already knew and focused exclusively on my weak spots. Timed practice tests were the biggest game changer for me honestly. I'd simulate real conditions, no phone, no pauses, and review every wrong answer after. Went from 72nd to 89th percentile doing that for two weeks straight.

Don't underestimate the study guide sections on test-taking strategy — not just content. I ignored that stuff the first time and it cost me. Second attempt I read those parts carefully and my score jumped 11 points. Good luck, you've got this.

The time management thing is real. What helped me was setting a hard 90-second rule per question during practice — if I'm still unsure, I mark it and move on. Sounds obvious but forcing yourself to do it in practice makes it automatic on test day. Also the Academic and School Tests practice test resources tend to mirror the actual question style pretty closely, so don't skip those even if they feel repetitive.
