Finally passed my ABT exam after two attempts — here's what actually helped
So I just got my results last week and I finally passed. Honestly wasn't sure I would after bombing it the first time back in February. The thing that caught me off guard on attempt one was how heavily they weighted the theory sections — I'd spent most of my prep time on the practical application stuff and completely neglected the foundational anatomy questions. Big mistake.
This time around I gave myself 8 weeks and used a mix of resources. The ABT practice test questions I found online were honestly the most useful part of my prep — doing timed sets of 20-30 questions every night helped me get comfortable with how they phrase things. I also went through a structured study guide that broke down the muscle groups and contraindication topics by chapter, which made reviewing a lot less overwhelming.
For anyone just starting out: don't underestimate the business ethics section. It's maybe 15% of the exam but it's stuff you can't really cram — you either know the standards or you don't. Start there early. Happy to share more exam tips if anyone has questions about specific topic areas.
