125 × 36 = 4,500 gallons.
A ladder truck is 42 feet long. If 3 ladder trucks are parked end to end, what is the total length in yards?
Answer: 42 yards
3 × 42 = 126 feet ÷ 3 = 42 yards.
A firefighter earns $52,800 per year. What is the monthly salary?
Answer: $4,400
$52,800 ÷ 12 = $4,400 per month.
A water tank holds 3,600 gallons and is 75% full. How many gallons are needed to fill it completely?
Answer: 900
75% of 3,600 = 2,700 gallons present; 3,600 − 2,700 = 900 gallons needed.
If 4 firefighters can complete a ventilation task in 20 minutes, how long would it take 5 firefighters working at the same rate?
Answer: 16 minutes

68 ÷ 85 × 100 = 80%.
Station A responds to 18 calls per day and Station B responds to 24 calls per day. What is the ratio of Station A's calls to Station B's calls in simplest form?

18:24 simplifies by dividing both by 6, giving 3:4.
