    Answer: 20%

    Growth = (384 − 320) ÷ 320 × 100 = 64/320 × 100 = 20%.

    Answer: 195 minutes

    3.25 × 60 = 195 minutes.

  3. Two machines produce 120 parts per hour combined. Machine A produces twice as many as Machine B. How many parts per hour does Machine A produce?

    Answer: 80

    Let B = x; A = 2x; 3x = 120; x = 40; A = 80 parts/hour.

  4. A graph shows monthly sales rising from 500 to 650 units over 3 months. What is the average monthly increase?

    Answer: 50 units

    Total increase = 150; average per month = 150 ÷ 3 = 50 units.

  5. If 12% of a number is 96, what is the number?

    Answer: 800

    Number = 96 ÷ 0.12 = 800.

  6. A flight covers 1,800 km in 2.5 hours. What is the average speed in km/h?

    Answer: 720 km/h

    Speed = 1,800 ÷ 2.5 = 720 km/h.

  7. A company has 240 employees. If 30% are in sales and 25% are in operations, how many are in neither department?

    Answer: 108

    Sales = 72, Operations = 60; neither = 240 − 132 = 108.
