CRPE Concours de Recrutement de Professeurs des Écoles
The CRPE (Concours de Recrutement de Professeurs des Écoles) is the French national competitive examination for recruiting primary school teachers, administered by the French Ministry of National Education. Candidates are assessed in French language mastery, mathematics, knowledge of the French education system, and the didactics of French and mathematics. The exam includes written tests and an oral professional interview. Success leads to appointment as a fonctionnaire (civil servant) teacher.
