Answer: 6 hours
Speed = 240 ÷ 4 = 60 mph; time for 360 miles = 360 ÷ 60 = 6 hours.
A recipe calls for 2.5 cups of flour to make 20 cookies. How many cups of flour are needed to make 48 cookies?
Answer: 6 cups
Flour per cookie = 2.5 ÷ 20 = 0.125 cups; for 48 cookies: 48 × 0.125 = 6 cups.
Tom earns $18 per hour and works 37.5 hours per week. What is his weekly gross pay?

$18 × 37.5 = $675.00.
A pool holds 15,000 gallons and is 40% full. How many more gallons are needed to fill it completely?
