CPAT — The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is a standardized pass/fail firefighter physical screening test developed jointly by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC); it consists of 8 sequential physical events that must be completed within 10 minutes and 20 seconds while wearing a 50-pound weight vest.
