FORT — The Connecticut Foundations of Reading Test (FORT) is a licensure exam administered by Pearson for the Connecticut State Department of Education, required for initial educator certification (PreK–6 and special education); it consists of approximately 100 selected-response questions across seven subareas with a 4-hour time limit and a passing scaled score of 240 on a 100–300 scale.
