CMRT — The CMRT (Certified Medical Records Technician) credential was issued by AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) and served as the entry-level health information credential; it has since been superseded by the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) exam, which consists of 150 questions (130 scored) administered over 3.5 hours with a scaled pass score of 300 out of 400, covering domains including data content and standards, information protection, informatics and analytics, revenue cycle management, compliance, and leadership.
