Answer: 8 km/L
360 ÷ 45 = 8 km per litre.
A soldier completes 3/4 of a 20 km march. How many kilometres remain?
Answer: 5 km
3/4 × 20 = 15 km done, so 20 − 15 = 5 km remain.
What is 15% of 240?
Answer: 36
15% × 240 = 0.15 × 240 = 36.
A recruiter needs to fill 48 positions across 6 equal units. How many recruits does each unit receive?
Answer: 8
48 ÷ 6 = 8 recruits per unit.
If a clock shows 3:45 PM, what time will it be in 2 hours and 35 minutes?
Answer: 6:20 PM
3:45 + 2:35 = 6:20 PM.
A base has 5 rows of barracks with 12 bunks each. 3 bunks in each row are empty. How many bunks are occupied?
Answer: 45
Total bunks = 5 × 12 = 60; empty = 5 × 3 = 15; occupied = 60 − 15 = 45.
