Certified Coding Associate Exam — The Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credential is issued by AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association). The real exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions administered over 3.5 hours (210 minutes) via computer-based testing. Candidates must achieve a scaled score of 300 (on a 100–400 scale, approximately 70%) to pass. Content domains include ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, CPT/HCPCS Level II coding, health records and data, reimbursement methodologies, compliance, and health information requirements.
