  1. If hazardous materials are spilling from your vehicle, what should you NOT do?

    Answer: Drive to the nearest phone or town to report it

    Never move a leaking vehicle any farther than safety requires; do not drive to find a phone.

    Answer: A written route plan

    Drivers hauling Class A or B explosives must carry a written route plan and follow it.

    Answer: Stop within 15 to 50 feet of the nearest rail

    Placarded vehicles must stop between 15 and 50 feet before the nearest rail at crossings.

  7. Can you smoke near a vehicle carrying explosives, flammables, or oxidizers?

    Answer: No, you must not smoke within 25 feet of such a vehicle

    Smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of vehicles carrying explosives, oxidizers, or flammable materials.
