CAPS — The CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) designation is issued by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in partnership with AARP and the NAHB Research Center. It is earned by completing three NAHB courses (CAPS I: Marketing & Communication, CAPS II: Design/Build Solutions, CAPS III: Details & Solutions or Business Management) and passing course-level exams covering aging demographics, universal design, home modification techniques, client communication, and business practices.
