2.5 years = 30 months; 30 × $125 = $3,750.

48 ÷ 12 = 4 boxes.
The ratio of boys to girls in a class is 3:4. If there are 21 boys, how many girls are there?

A piece of rope 7.5 meters long is cut into pieces that are each 0.25 meters long. How many pieces are made?

A parking garage charges $2.50 for the first hour and $1.75 for each hour after that. How much does 5 hours of parking cost?

$2.50 + (4 × $1.75) = $2.50 + $7.00 = $9.50.
