    14.50 × 38 = $551.00.

    2¾ × 2 = 5½ cups.

  3. A store is having a 30% off sale. If a jacket originally costs $85, what is the sale price?

    Answer: $59.50

    30% of $85 = $25.50, and $85 − $25.50 = $59.50.

    Doubling workers halves the time: 12 ÷ 2 = 6 days.
