  1. A triangle has a base of 9 inches and a height of 6 inches. What is its area?

    Answer: 27 in²

    Area of triangle = ½ × base × height = ½ × 9 × 6 = 27 in².

  2. A sphere has a radius of 3 cm. What is its volume? (Use π ≈ 3.14)

    Answer: 113.04 cm³

    Volume = (4/3)πr³ = (4/3)(3.14)(27) = 113.04 cm³.

  3. What is the perimeter of a regular hexagon with a side length of 7 cm?

    Answer: 42 cm

    A regular hexagon has 6 equal sides, so perimeter = 6 × 7 = 42 cm.

  4. A right triangle has a hypotenuse of 17 cm and one leg of 8 cm. What is the length of the other leg?

    Answer: 15 cm

    Using a² + b² = c²: b = √(17² − 8²) = √(289 − 64) = √225 = 15 cm.

  5. Convert 5.5 yards to feet.

    Answer: 16.5 feet

    1 yard = 3 feet, so 5.5 yards × 3 = 16.5 feet.

  6. A parallelogram has a base of 11 cm and a height of 7 cm. What is its area?

    Answer: 77 cm²

    Area of a parallelogram = base × height = 11 × 7 = 77 cm².

  7. An angle and its complement are in a ratio of 2:1. What is the measure of the larger angle?

    Answer: 60°

    Complementary angles sum to 90°; with ratio 2:1, the larger = (2/3) × 90° = 60°.
