ARM — The ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation is issued by The Institutes (formerly Insurance Institute of America) and consists of three component exams: ARM 54 (Risk Management Principles and Practices), ARM 55 (Risk Assessment), and ARM 56 (Risk Treatment). Each exam contains 75 multiple-choice questions with a 2.5-hour time limit and a passing scaled score equivalent to approximately 70%.
