  1. All politicians are corrupt. Some corrupt people are criminals. Which conclusion definitely follows?

    Answer: Some corrupt people are politicians

    'All politicians are corrupt' converts to 'Some corrupt people are politicians'. This definitely follows.

  2. No teacher is a student. Some students are intelligent. Which conclusion follows?

    Answer: Some intelligent people are not teachers

    Some students are intelligent. No teacher is a student. Those intelligent students are not teachers → some intelligent people are not teachers.

  3. All A are B. No B is C. All C are D. Which conclusion is valid?

    Answer: No A is C

    All A are B and no B is C → A is a subset of B and B has no overlap with C, so no A is C.
