The Classic Accuplacer Math Tests contain 3 subjects: Accuplacer Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra placement test, and College-level Math placement test.

• The Accuplacer Arithmetic involves three types of questions: Operations with Whole Numbers, Operations with Decimal and Percents, and Applications and Problem Solving.
• The Accuplacer Elementary Algebra involves three types of questions: Operations with Integers and Rational Numbers, Operations with Algebraic Expressions, and Solution of Equations, Inequalities, and Word Problems. 
• The Accuplacer College-Level Math involves five types of questions: Algebra Operations, Solutions of Equations and Inequalities, Coordinate Geometry, Applications, and other Algebra Topics, and Functions and Trigonometry.

The Next Generation Accuplacer Math Tests, on the other hand, contains 3 subjects: Next Generation Arithmetic, Next Generation Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics, and Next Generation Advanced Algebra and Functions.

On any ACCUPLACER Math test, you are not permitted to bring a physical calculator or utilize portable calculators. Students who have been granted permission to use handheld calculators as part of an official accommodations request may do so in accordance with the authorized accommodation.

How long does the Accuplacer test take in math?

The ACCUPLACER reading and math exams are untimed, but the ACCUPLACER writing test is timed for 50 minutes. Approximately three hours for the time. You can no longer go back and review or edit your answer after you've answered the question.
