    Area of a rectangle = length × width = 12 × 7 = 84 square centimeters.

  2. What is the value of 3/4 ÷ 1/2?

    Answer: 3/2

    To divide fractions, multiply by the reciprocal: 3/4 × 2/1 = 6/4 = 3/2.

  4. Which expression is equivalent to 4(3x + 5)?

    Answer: 12x + 20

    Using the distributive property: 4 × 3x = 12x and 4 × 5 = 20, so the result is 12x + 20.

  5. A number line shows points at −3, −1, 0, 2, and 4. Which of the following correctly orders these numbers from least to greatest?

    Answer: −3, −1, 0, 2, 4

On a number line, numbers increase from left to right. The correct order from least to greatest is −3, −1, 0, 2, 4.

  6. A bag contains 3 red marbles, 5 blue marbles, and 2 green marbles. What is the probability of randomly drawing a blue marble?
