Between two faces, a face fillet is added. This differs from the standard fillet in choosing the faces between which a round is inserted. The key here is to understand that the faces do not have to be neighboring. The fillet can be inserted as long as the specified radius can be formed from one face to the other. Make sure you are in Translate/Rotate mode and not Constraints mode in the PropertyManager. (See button at the PropertyManager’s bottom.) To turn the body about the X, Y, or Z axis, enter the desired angle of rotation in the relevant box.

First, make sure Hide All Types is deselected (View > Hide/Show > Hide All Types). then take these actions:

  • Right-click the Annotations folder in your FeatureManager Tree and choose Show Feature Dimensions. This will cause every feature’s dimension to be displayed around the part in the design space. 
  • You can hide any dimensions that aren’t required by right-clicking on them in the design space and choosing Hide. This will allow you to keep a set number of dimensions. If you don’t see the Hide option, you can hide multiple items at once by pressing Ctrl + selecting all irrelevant dimensions before choosing Hide. 
  • You must once again show all dimensions for the feature by right-clicking it in the FeatureManager Tree and choosing Show All Dimensions in order to see a dimension that has been concealed.
  1. Select a Top Plane 
    Select a top plane and begin 
    Draw a circle with a diameter of 3,60 mm, then select Helix Spiral under *Curves* under Features. There will be 13 revolutions at a pitch of 2 mm.
  2. Sketch and Draw *After selecting Front plane, draw a center line starting at the bottom and working your way up. 
    Next, draw a line, select a 3-point arc, and then create two half-circles. Next, draw a center line as shown in the picture. : 45 degrees.
  3. Close the sketch after selecting Smart Dimensions.
  4. Open the 3D sketch.
    Draw a line as seen in the image using Spline. 
  5. Choose Spline & Line *After choosing Spline & Line, choose Tangent while holding down the Ctrl key.

  6. Redraw the sketch *seal it. Select the front plain and create the opposite side.
  7. Open a 3D Sketch *After finishing the sketch, start a 3D Sketch. Draw a line with Spline. Look at STEPs 4 and 5.

    Exit the 3D drawing now, then click Features, Features, Composite Curve (under Curves), select all, then OK. 
  9. Select a plane
    Now select an appropriate plane (Reference Geo. ), then select the Edge and Point as shown in the image. , drawing on that plain.
  10. Draw a circle with a diameter of 0,8 mm and then seal the sketch. 
  11. Go to Swept Boss
    Features, choose Swept Boss, then choose the curve and the circle you drew in step 10. 
  12. Congratulation!
    You’re done now.

A part or surface model can be scaled in relation to its centroid, the model origin, or a coordinate system. A surface or solid model can be scaled by: Click Scale (Features toolbar) or Insert > Features > Scale in a component document.

  • To define the plane, choose a second reference and a third reference as necessary. The state of the plane is reported in the Message box. To create the plane, the status must be Fully specified.

To choose the direction of the extrusion, click in the graphics area and select Convert to Extrusion (2D to 3D toolbar) or Tools > Sketch Tools > 2D to 3D > Extrude. It then displays the Base-Extrude PropertyManager. Edit the Base Extrude PropertyManager’s properties.

SOLIDWORKS 2020 SP5 can open 2021 parts and assemblies with the Previous Release Interoperability feature, although with limited functionality.

Drag the mouse after selecting Pan (View toolbar) or View > Modify > Pan. Drag while keeping Ctrl depressed. (You do not need to hold down Ctrl while drawing is active.) While holding down Ctrl, use the arrow keys.
