Question: Which Surah of the Holy Quran is famously referred to as the 'Qalb-ul-Quran' (the Heart of the Quran)?

Answer: B. Surah Yaseen

Explanation:

The correct answer is Surah Yaseen. It is widely called the Heart of the Quran, based on a hadith that says everything has a heart and the heart of the Quran is Surah Ya-Sin.

Surah Al-Fatiha is the opening chapter and is known by other titles, such as the Opening. Surah Ar-Rahman is often called the Bride of the Quran. Surah Al-Baqarah is the longest chapter. Each wrong option is a famous surah, which is why this question tempts people who only half remember the titles.

The rule to remember: for Islamic studies questions, learn each well-known surah together with its nickname or distinguishing feature, not just its name.

Question: The 1973 Constitution of Pakistan was passed under which Prime Minister?

Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq came to power later, through martial law, and suspended the constitution instead of passing it. Benazir Bhutto served as Prime Minister in later years, long after the document was adopted.

The rule to remember: for Pakistan affairs questions, tie each constitutional or political event to the person in office at that time, and watch for names that sound familiar but belong to another period.

Question: The Gwadar Port, a crucial component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is located in which province?

1. Sindh
2. Balochistan
3. Punjab
4. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Answer: B. Balochistan

Explanation:

The correct answer is Balochistan. Gwadar Port is a deep-sea port on the Arabian Sea, and it sits at the centre of CPEC because it gives direct sea access.

Sindh also has a coastline on the Arabian Sea and Karachi is its main port city, so it is the most tempting wrong answer. Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have no coastline at all, so a seaport cannot be located in either.

The rule to remember: when a question describes a seaport, first rule out provinces without a coast, then match the port name to the right coastal province. Learn the main ports and their provinces together.
