The NCLEX-RN is the Test Exam that you take after graduating from a program in order for you to become a registered nurse or an RN. You can expect to have between 75 to 265 questions on the NCLEX-RN Exam.
All RN Questions focus on Patient’s Care Managment and the Ability of the RN to think critically in addition to the promotion of the health, psychosocial and safe care. RN’s manage parenteral nutrition and administering blood products & questions reflecting this may be on the NCLEX-RN Exam, they would not be found on the PN exam.
The NCLEX-PN is a test you take after graduating from a practical or vocational nursing program that will give the title of LPN or licensed practical nurse. There are between 85 to 205 questions on the NCLEX PN Exam.
An LPN worker is under the supervision of an RN or an MD & the questions on their exam focus more on the coordination of care rather than focusing on the management of care. Questions that would pertain to patient care & CPR would be the same on both exams. There are more similarities than differences between the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN because both tests are facing the same principles of patient care.
The Practice Test of the NCLEX-PN Plan consists of four major sections, each one of them tests your knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet these client needs. These categories, sections & the percentage of questions.
