Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The G1 Drive Test

G1ドライブテスト

There are three different driving exams you have to take in order to get a Canadian driver’s license: G1, G2, and G tests. A graduated licensing system is used, which means that the difficulty level of the exams will increase as you go through them. You must be able to pass each of them to get a full driver’s license.

G1テスト

beginners’ driving test is the G1 test. It is a knowledge test, which is composed of driving test questions based on Road Signs and Rules of the Road. If you pass this test, you’ll be given a learner’s permit.

G1 driver’s license will enable you to drive. But, it has a lot of restrictions, such as you must be accompanied by a fully licensed driver (at least 4 years of experience) who has to sit in the passenger seat.  You cannot drive with a lot of passengers. The number of people you can allow in your car must coincide with the number of seatbelts you have. Also, you must have a 0 blood alcohol level. Those are just some of the restrictions of this license.

The rules and regulations for the G1 drive test for each province differs. You can check them out yourself using the information stated below:

The Other Drive Tests

G2 Test

On the other hand, the G2 road test is a driving test exam that will challenge your basic driving skills. You have to drive around for at least 20 minutes to show the examiner that you know the basic driving maneuvers like starting, turning, and stopping the vehicle or knowing reverse, forward, and parallel parking. Also, those who have a G2 license do not have to be supervised, but they have certain restrictions. G2 drivers are allowed to drive with a passenger under 19 years old. But after 6 months, they can drive with up to three passengers under 19. An exception will be when a fully licensed driver accompanies them.

G Test

The last exam is the G road test. If you pass this, you will be a fully licensed driver. It will test whether you have advanced driving skills such as knowing how to change lanes and passing other motor vehicles at a proper speed. You will also be required to drive on a 400 series highway, and it will last at least 30 minutes.
