Question 1: In expectation theory, the following factors determine how desirable a different target or direction is:
- Value
- Wrong answer - Pay
- Work
- Bond - Wrong answer (Correct answer)
Correct answer: Bond - Wrong answer
This question is structured unusually, indicating 'Bond - Wrong answer' as the correct choice. In expectation theory, the desirability of a target is typically determined by 'valence' (the value or attractiveness of the outcome) and 'instrumentality' (the belief that performance leads to the outcome). The correct answer implies that 'Bond' is not the factor, and none of the other options (Value, Pay, Work) are the specific term sought in this context, making the chosen option a meta-answer.
Question 2: Which of the following motivation theories is regarded as being the most comprehensive?
- Performance
- Leadership
- Expectancy (Correct answer)
- Value
Correct answer: Expectancy
Expectancy theory is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive motivation theories because it integrates several cognitive elements.
